Tree sap You may never go near trees (unless you have a real fir tree at Christmas) but the chances are the sap and resins extracted from trees are a regular part of your environment. As well as rubber and resins, and other plant products are used in many applications such as soap, paper, varnishes, glue, soldering flux and certain types of paint. A common example of a Skin Flare-Up of eczema or dermatitis caused by a tree sap would be the itchy, red skin under a sticking plaster, after a minor cut or graze, which is triggered by the rubber and adhesive of the sticking plaster. |
